Tomato Colour Testing ... then Tasting

Tomato Colour Testing ... then Tasting

This week, after clearing the tomato patches at the allotment, I decided to return to my tomato drawing and do a couple of colour patches in a lovely cold-press (rough) 100% cotton watercolour sketchbook gifted by friends upon their return from France, using what I learned about Beam paints, last week. I've detailed the conclusions I came to in the Description below the YouTube video if you'd like to see how I'll be approaching the Final.

It's time to put both the roof garden and the allotment to bed so I won't be posting for 2 weeks. I'll be back at the end of the month and will be reading and responding to comments below, here, and on oneseedwonder's YouTube channel.

I hope you enjoy this little ditty.

More than a few tomatoes were harmed after the filming of this video. I cut them in half, added salt and a sprinkle of pecorino romano after laying them down down as a bed for a slice of eggplant parmesan. Baked at 350F to warm for about 5 minutes. While waiting, I enjoyed some focaccia with Papa Vince's EVOO, the amazing Sicilian extra virgin olive oil my brother surprised me with a couple of weeks ago.

OMGosh - was it good. The Eggplant was as well. It was the perfect appetizer to have beforehand.

Did anyone spot the acorn in the featured blog photo. I put there as a hint for something to come.
